Police in Kathiani have arrested a teenage boy accused of stabbing his friend with a knife.
Witnesses said the suspect was having fun with his friend before an argument erupted over a bottle of alcohol they were sharing.
The victim was rushed to Kathiani hospital before being transfered to Kenyatta National Hospital where he is recuperating.
Confirming the incident, Kaewa location chief Titus Vuva said the victim who is a form three student quarreled with his friend after they got drunk leading to the incident.
Mr Vuva condemned the incident and said all the drinking joints allowing underage children to indulge in alcohol will be closed down.
"They are teenage boys who fought after a misunderstanding and one stabbed the other. It is bad for bars to sell alcohol to children," Said Vuva.
He also warned youths not to engage in actions that may get them into trouble.
