Kitutu Central ward MCA aspirant Walter Nyakundi has accused Wilfred Monyenye Yoge,  who is an MCA from the neighboring Kisii Central ward of arrogance for harassing a clerk who had pitched a tent to register voters at the entrance of Kisii Central Church in Kisii town.

Nyakundi alleged  that Monyenye attempted to eject the IEBC official before area residents intervened and demanded him to leave.

“Monyenye came and wanted to eject the clerk by force saying that she had crossed the border but we all know we she had not gone past the border," said the politician.

"IEBC need to come out clear and define the boundaries between the two neighboring wards. The 'Central' term is the center of controversy,” observed Nyakundi.

He also appealed to voters to register  non-conditionally in order to elect leaders of their choice in the next general election.

“Some people have lost confidence and don’t see the importance of elections. In turn, they demand handouts before registration," said Nyakundi.

"I urge leaders, the clergy, individuals, and all other stakeholders to help in sensitizing the public on the importance of this exercise,” added Nyakundi.
