Police officers in Isinga sub-location in Kangundo sub-county are searching for a man who allegedly threatened to kill his wife on February 23 and burnt her clothes.
Confirming the incident, Isinga sublocation sub-chief Bethuel King'ee said that the man broke into the house and burnt clothes belonging to his wife.
He also went ahead and threatened to kill her.
"I was tipped by one of the Isinga residents that one of the neighbours had broken into the house when his wife was not at home, burnt her clothes and threatened to kill her where I rushed home and found out that the man was under the influence of alcohol," said King'ee.
The man is said to have started family wrangles the previous night before he went on with the drama in the afternoon.
King'ee said that the man disappeared and that police officers are looking for him.
He told residents to notify him once the man is spotted.
He also encouraged the man's wife to be strong and also inform him if he returns home.
