The CEO of a Nakuru-based textiles company Jaswinder Bedi has been nominated as a finalist in the fourth edition of the African CEO Forum of the year awards.
According to a post in the official Bedi Investments Ltd Facebook page, the CEO best known as Jas Bedi has been nominated alongside such other African industrialists like Aliko Dangote of Nigeria, Oba Otundeko, and Jean Diagou among others.
“Our CEO Jas Bedi has been nominated as a finalist in the category “CEO of the year” for the Africa CEO Forum – fourth edition which will be presented during the Africa CEO Forum taking place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on the 21 and 22 of March 2016,” the Facebook post read in part.
The Nakuru County governor Kinuthia Mbugua has congratulated the CEO for his nomination adding that the CEO and his family have always been in the forefront in advocating Nakuru’s representation in the industrial sector.
“Jas is a key player in the textile industry and am proud of the great strides he has achieved as an industrialist per excellence,” said the governor in a media release.
In attendance to the award even will be Ivory Coast’s President Allassane Ouattara and over 500 CEOs from 63 Countries.
