Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has pledged to continue supporting schools and learning institutions in the region in bid to provide quality education, knowledge and skills to students that would help them fit in the competitive world.
The county boss who spoke on Thursday after commissioning an ECDE classroom in Ngumo, Murindat Ward in Gilgil sub-county confirmed his commitment in overseeing the development of infrastructure in schools.
He also highlighted that the objective is to ensure schools in the county have necessary facilities such as libraries and laboratories to make studies easy and efficient.
“My county government will continue to partner with various schools in the region as we work on upgrading infrastructure in institutions. We want our children to be equipped with quality education which will enable them fit in the competitive world,” Mbugua stated.
The county boss who was hosted by MCA Monica Gitau was accompanied by other county officials on a tour of the region where he oversaw and inspected several projects as part of the county’s initiatives in developing the region.
“I remain committed in delivering my promises to the people of Nakuru County and that's why every week I and my officers conduct extensive inspection and commissioning tours of various development projects across the county without discrimination,” Mbugua further stated.
On her part, Gitau was happy with the governor's visit to vowing to continue supporting his government.
“My people will continue supporting you because you were duly elected by the majority to serve this county. That is why we are happy to see you around,” she said.
During the tour, the county boss also commissioned other development projects including Komothai Road and other infrastructure in the region.
