Tea farmers from Riaking’oina centre have challenged their area MCA to repair Gesima - Bokione road before it worsens.

Led by chairman, Atera Makori, the residents said the road connects more than three buying centres which make it prone to easy damage and so the residents told their MCA, Kennedy Nyameino to begin repairing the road.

“Our fear as tea farmers is that if this road gets worse than this, we will lose a lot we, therefore, urge our Nyameino to consider us and repair the road,” said Makori.

They also urged the county to put measures in place to ensure that ones the roads are constructed it takes long time before being repaired.

“We would like the county government to make sure that the contractors construct the road. It has only served us for three years and this is the state. Imagine if we had to use it any longer in this state?,’’added Makori.
