As a Kibera resident, I love new things, I am happy that new designs of shoes, dresses are in the boutiques and markets within Kibera. There are heeled, flat shoes and even sketchers for women. I have planned to visit boutiques, Laini Saba and DC markets this weekend to buy some of the latest arrivals for Christmas Day,” said Onyango.
“Kibera is a place of fashion, as a trader I love selling new items once they arrive. Residents love fashion especially women and this is why I had to bring new stock at affordable prices. On Monday, my supplier is bringing new dresses to add to my new shoes stock. I only sell women shoes and dresses since I because men do not buy as women do,” said Judy Kiprono, a boutique attendant at Laini Saba.
