Peter Mutiso ‘The lost groom’ resurfaced today in Lela after failing to appear at his engagement party which was to be held on the 18 of December 2015.
Mutiso went missing on the official day and could not be traced leading a call off.
Accompanied by his relatives Mutiso visited the brides’ home with 5 animals and a number of gifts after the incident.He apologized for the inconvenience he had caused explaining that he was not able to come up with the agreed dowry price. He explained that the person he depended upon to secure him the requirements did not come through for him.
The two parties handled their differences condemning him for the act. His engagement party was later rescheduled for the 2 of January 2016.
Despite the apology, Mutiso was fined Ksh 10,000 in addition to meeting all expenses incurred that day which would be communicated in due time.
