Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has hit out at Cord leader Raila Odinga for alleging that Jubilee will rig the next general election.
The MP charged that Raila was only conceding to defeat by mudslinging Jubilee.
“When Raila says that Jubilee will rig elections in 2017, he is conceding to defeat. Raila is one person who never finds anything good with this government and will never stand up and say he has been trounced in elections,” said Ngunjiri on Thursday in Bahati.
He espoused that the opposition had devised the tact before 2017, with the aim of breaking the trust Kenyans have in the government.
He said Raila and his team of antagonists were already afraid of losing elections come 2017.
“These people have failed already and that is why you will hear them saying what they are saying because they have fear in them that they will lose,” he stated.
He also condemned the former Prime Minister over claims that Jubilee has been dishing out money to Cord followers to get their support.
"Nobody is being bought, Ngujiri said, because in politics, you do not buy. People defect and he is aware of that but want to twist it and look like his followers are being bought," he said.
“Raila has masters in confusion and propaganda,” he added.
He said the statement by the former Lang'ata MP was geared towards causing panic in the country and bloodshed as he has corrupted the minds of some people that the elections will not be free and fair.
He further explained that allegations leveled by the Cord leader on Monday that Jubilee MPs are changing laws to suit their needs is malicious and misinformed.
The MP observed that they are only working with due diligence and making laws which will help President Uhuru Kenyatta work as required.
