The biometric registration of all community youth engaged under the National Youth Service, Youth Empowerment Programme, ends on Sunday 7, according to the director general, Richard Ndubai, in a notice published in local dailies.
The exercise which started on January 27, in all the 69 constituencies was scheduled to conclude after six days.
Although the exercise has been extended, there will be no further extension for this category of cohorts, therefore, it will be the final call for all cohorts who were in the programme and had not yet presented themselves for the biometric registration, further stated the announcement.
However, the youth engaged under the Empowerment Programme and who wish to continue with nation building duties are requested to present themselves at the designated areas of registration with their national IDs.
In Nakuru County, the exercise will be run at centers designated in Gilgil, Nakuru Town East and West and Subukia constituencies.
The exercise is meant to facilitate easier administration through technology in the light of the expanding nature of the programme.
