Simat/Kapseret MCA Pauline Tuwei has urged the county government to ensure that all the roads leading to the sub-county and county hospitals are passable.
Speaking in Eldoret on Wednesday during the flagging off of 10 ambulances allocated for the sub-counties, Tuwei said that better roads will enable easy access to health services.
"Our ambulances will not be destroyed easily when the roads are in a good condition and time spent on the road will reduce drastically," said Tuwei.
Tuwei also challenged the county to ensure enough and qualified medical practitioners are deployed to the facilities for good service delivery.
"To ease the congestion in medical facilities especially for out-patients services, the government should employ competent nurses who don't just sit but deliver quality services," she said.
Tuwei warned lazy nurses that they will be sacked and replaced with those willing to serve residents diligently.
She further thanked the county leadership for providing more ambulances which will be used for emergency around the county.
