Boda boda operators in Nakuru have expressed their joy over the marginal drop in fuel prices announced by the Energy Regulatory Commission on Thursday.
The motorists termed the move as timely, noting it would save them a lot during these harsh economic times.
David Asebe expressed his optimism over the move saying it will boost his business.
"Yes I am very pleased by the ERC for such a timely move. It will save us money in this harsh economic times," he said.
His sentiments were shared by Javan Ngatia, a taxi operator who added that any reduction of fuel prices was welcome.
"As motorists, any reduction in the cost of fuel is welcome," he said.
However, they ruled out any reduction in fares for their customers saying the reduction was not as big.
Thursday, ERC announced a fuel reduction for super petrol by Sh1.42 per litre, while diesel reduced by Sh1.81 as kerosene plummeted by Sh7.14.
