Religious leaders, teachers and parents have been asked to encourage the youth to register as voters before the ongoing exercise by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission ends.

Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri said it would be important for them to take the initiative so as to ensure that the exercise attains 100 per cent success.

Speaking in Wanyororo when he attended Jacaranda Primary School prize giving day, Ngunjiri noted that the exercise will only be a success if everybody took up the initiative of pushing youths to action.

"We live in a funny society where some people especially our youthful generation have to be constantly reminded to engage in some important issues. Voting is a fundamental right and as a leader, please help me in encouraging them to vote," he said.
