Director of Public Prosecutions, Keriako Tobiko, has ordered for the investigation of Mombasa businessman and politician, Suleiman Shahbal , over hate speech remarks.
Shahbal made remarks in a meeting where he stated Jubilee would win the next general elections, a statement that was not taken well by a large number of Kenyans.
In a letter, which, Director of Public Prosecutions, Keriako Tobiko has submitted to IEBC Commission Chairman, Isaac Hassan and Inspector General, Joseph Boinet , he has asked to interview and examine Shahbal immediately so that action be taken against him .
Tobiko said the statements by Shahbal, are an offence under the electoral and criminal laws.
