Local residents at Darajani village in Kibera have been urged to unite and help end theft in the area. This comes after a middle aged man was found stealing from a shop at Darajani village in the slums of Kibera.

Speaking on Friday morning, the area chief, Johnson Mwangi, said the local residents should unite to end this illegal behaviour that is developing in the area.

“We should work hard and benefit from our own sweat. I urge every resident to be responsible and take care for everyone of us property,” said Mwangi.

He also said that cases of insecurity have been rampant in the area targeting other people’s property.

He urged the residents to be vigilant on insecurity cases and in case one is found breaking the law, let him or her face the law accordingly.
