University and middle level college students from Kitutu Masaba constituency have been urged to apply for the 2016 CDF bursaries in large numbers to avoid missing out on early disbursements.

Speaking on Tuesday at Nyamwanga primary school during the issuance of CDF funds for the construction of classrooms, Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire urged parents to pick the forms and make early applications to avoid blame games.

“I know many parents are good at criticising my administration when it comes to bursary allocations even after failing to apply. They have to seize the opportunity and make early applications to avoid being left out. We want to do away with persistent cases of blame games,” he said.

He said all applicants will receive assistance from the constituency, adding that only the neediest will be given first priority.

“We will assess the information from applicants and give the neediest cases first priority. However, I am confident that all applicants will get the funding. We will ensure that all university and college students who apply get their share without bias,” he added.

The MP said students in secondary schools will have their fees offset by CDF after their respective principals submit an authentic list of those who are in dire need of the help.

The application kicks off from Monday January 11, and is set to go for three weeks with the forms expected to be submitted to Tombe offices by early February.
