Githobokoni ward MCA Moses Kiarie Munyua wants to table a bill to push for equitable access to tenders and work contracts for marginalized persons.

Speaking while addressing residents at Githobokoni on Sunday, Munyua said that members of disabled families, youth and women living in his ward have been excluded from equitable distribution of human and capital resources.

"No woman, a disabled group or individual or even a youth have been assigned an official responsibility by Kiambu county government. I will in the coming week push a motion to stop discrimination in allocation of tenders and contracts to allow all wards to benefit," he said.

Munyua urged the county government to end their continued discrimination by employing and applying affirmative action when it comes to the awarding of tenders and contracts.

He on another note also said that the government tree farm in the area had become a habitat of thugs and ruthless tree destroyers noting that he had plans to restore the dignity of the farm as well.
