Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua on Wednesday kicked off his 'meet-the-people' tour in Machakos Town Constituency.
Speaking during the tour, Mutua stressed to county residents that it was their right to be served by the elected leaders.
Mutua said he had decided to ignore his critics saying service provision by the government was evident.
"Time for empty politics is long gone and I will continue providing good services to this County. My critics are not seeing the Mwala road, ambulances, security systems but instead are bringing up empty propaganda," said Mutua.
Mutua during visited residents of Machakos town making stop-overs at various places in a bid to get their views about what issues they need to be done.
"I am very impressed with the energy people are working with today and will ensure I continue serving them so that we improve Machakos," he added.
Commenting on the corruption menace, Mutua assured residents that he would continue fighting against corrupt leaders to ensure transparency is maintained in his administration.
Mutua on Thursday is expected to tour Mwala Constituency.
