Kiambu MP Jude Njomo has assured residents that construction and equipping of the Thindigua dispensary in Kiambu town will be completed before 2016.
According to Mr Njomo, the dispensary which is being funded by the Kiambu Constituency Development Fund will enable residents access healthcare easily.
Speaking to journalists at Kiambu town on Monday, the MP said he was keen to ensure residents have access to proper healthcare.
Njomo observed that access to proper healthcare is the first step towards the realisation of development.
“If we need to achieve sustainable development then provision of healthcare should be among the first priorities for leaders and the government at large,” said the Kiambu MP.
The MP indicated that he is working with the national and county governments to ensure residents get proper healthcare services.
The Kiambu MP urged the county government to spearhead renovation and equipping of health centres across the county.
He observed that development of the health functions was meant to ensure that every citizen has access to good healthcare.
Kiambu county government, according to Governor William Kabogo has made strides in healthcare.
The governor says that renovation and upgrading of all public hospitals and health centres is ongoing.
Kabogo also says that the county has partnered with investors from several countries across the world like India to provide better healthcare to residents.
