Monday was the second week since IEBC launched massive voter registration exercise in the country.

In Kibera, residents who turned up for registration were few compared to when the exercise began.

Speaking this evening at Laini Saba area, Newton Mong'iti one of the IEBC officials said that when the voter registration started many people were turned up to register as voters but on Monday, residents who turned up for registration were fewer than those who did last week.

"It is unfortunate that today very few residents have turned up to register. Come and register as voters in the on going exercise to ensure full participation in the coming general elections," said Mong’iti.

"Kibera has so many people living there. The number of people registering should be high in this case. It takes less than 5 minutes to get registered as a voter so please come and vote,’’ he said.
