The county government of Uasin Gishu has organised a symposium for medical practitioners to deliberate on the various developments in their fields.
The symposium slated for Friday, will bring together medics from the United States, Uasin Gishu County and other counties to exchange notes in the medical field.
It has been organised in conjunction with the International Leadership Institute.
Speaking in Eldoret on Tuesday, Miriam Kosgei, the county’s Chief Officer Public Service Management said the conference is a boost to the medical sector in the country.
She also added that experts will share their research findings and discuss key issues in the sector as well as the way forward.
“This symposium will be an interactive forum, experts will present their researches and findings, questions arise and answers derived. It will help develop our knowledge scope in medicine," she added.
Medical experts from Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital and AMPATH are expected to participate.
The symposium is part of a two-week training programme by the county government and the International Leadership Institute to nurses.
The programme is set to train different groups of people in the county among them women and youths.
