Bodaboda operators operating near Kisii University have raised concern over poor dressing habits by the institution's students citing that some of them are embarrassing.

They claim that some students dress-up in a very disrespectful manner.

“Our community does not allow such type of dressings. Some students dress in very small clothes that almost expose every part of their bodies," said Ondiso.

"We feel like stripping them off,” added Ondiso.

“I feel very uncomfortable ferrying some of this students. You can imagine riding a student who is almost naked," said Ogembo.

"Sometimes it makes you very uncomfortable and you may even end up losing focus,” added Ogembo.

Some of the clothes the operators complain of include mini-skirts, very tight trousers worn by both men and ladies of the university, small tops exposing a large part of their boobs, booty shorts etc.

The students, however, declined the accusations saying the operators knew nothing about fashion.

“I have no problem if I am comfortable with my clothes. These operators have a tendency of harassing students simply because most of us have no time for them which makes them say such things,” said Njeri.

“These operators should concentrate on their own work. Not minding bout how we dress. They always have a habit of criticising students,” said Kibet
