Youths have been challenged to understand their role in the society when it comes to the issue of fighting corruption.

While addressing the youths who attended the forum on governance at the Kisii hotel the County Youth Development Forum (KCYDF) President Dennis Orioko challenged them that they should know their role in the fight against corruption.

Orioki said that the role of  youths in society is to challenge the corrupt and not to be a partakers in their dealings.

“The duty of a youth in the society is to challenge corruption by campaigning against it rather than participating or be used by the corrupt to spearhead their agenda," said Orioki.

Orioki also said that youths need to organise forums which will help in the campaigning against corruption.

“Let us organise forums which will address these issues so that when our youths become leaders they will be able to deal with the corrupt people in order to sweep out this vice in our country,” added Orioki.
