Nyanguru sub-location residents have been urged to desist from consuming non-profitable alcohol and take care of their families.
Speaking in Nyanko village on Friday at a community gathering, the anti-alcoholic movement leader Father Lawrence Nyaanga said that alcohol in our modern society is the beginning of all the evils.
He said that the experience on day to day basis in the locality such as murder and cases of gender-based violence such as rape among other cases that are related to consumption of alcohol.
He also urged the youths to be in groups so as to benefit from the governments youths enterprises which can make them move on comfortably with life instead of them engaging themselves in alcohol consumption.
Nyaanga also cautioned the producers of the alcohol that their days are numbered and added that the government is on watch for any person found producing and selling alcohol.
The area assistant chief Enock Omanwa said he will make sure that he takes the great fight against the destructive element in his sub-location by the help from the county and national government.
