The recent installation of free WiFi network in Kisii town has raised mixed reactions from the cyber café owners who operate internet services.
The owners are blaming the county government for its decision which was reached by Kisii county Governor James Ongwae a few days ago to connect Kisii town with free WiFi network, in order to promote trade and communication technology.
The business community who use the internet service are claiming that they are being paralysed, because their businesses are going to be on a standstill since they highly depended on their customers, who use their services to browse and conduct other internet services .
Their clients now seem to be having an alternative way of saving their cash since the free WiFi will be rolling out soon in Kisii town and many residents will begin enjoying free internet services, hence making the operators lose alot in their business.
