US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec has lauded Uasin Gishu County's effort to ensure good road networks by grading and graveling 2,000 kilometers of roads.

Speaking to the press after paying a courtesy call to the deputy governor Daniel Chemno, Godec said that good road networks will lead to good economy growth.

"I'm glad to hear that the county has also improved health facilities and digitised its records," said Godec. 

The envoy said that his government will continue to provide support to improve the economy of the county. 

"My government has been involved in funding of various activities in the country like the health care services, IT and peace process among others and we will continue to partner for the sake of unity and stability of Kenya," he said. 

He further urged Uasin Gishu leaders to maintain peace and unity a head of 2017 general election.
