Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has congratulated Mr Jaswinder Bedi , chief executive of Bedi Investment Ltd and East African Business Council director, for being nominated as a finalist in the category, CEO Of The Year" for the Africa CEO Forum - 4th Edition.
The governor praised him as being at the forefront in advocating for the county's representation in the industrial sector.
In a Facebook post in his official page, the governor added that the industrialist truly deserves the recognition and eventually the award.
"He is a key player in the textile industry and I am proud of the great strides he has achieved as an industrialist per excellence which in turn has put our county on the global map," said Kinuthia.
Other nominees indluce: Aliko Dangote, Oba Otudeko, Brahim-Benjelloun Touimi, Fatima Beyina-Moussa, Divine Ndhlukula, Jean K. Diagou and Zouhair Bennani.
The award will be presented during the Africa CEO Forum scheduled to take place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on March 21 and 22.
There will be 500 CEOs from 63 countries in attendance alongside heads of state with the host, Prsident Alassane Ouattara.
Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta is also expected to attend.
