Political heat in Machakos is increasing day by day as pressure to impeach governor Mutua goes a notch higher.

Speaking at Kyandu academy Kyevaluki in Kangundo, Machakos county women representative Dr Susan Musyoka said that time has come for the county assembly members to impeach Mutua.

"The removal of majority leader Joshua mwonga and minority leader Thomas Kasoa from office was a sure way of a scheme to paralyse Mutua's poor government," said Musyoka.

She said that misunderstanding between Machakos county leaders was geared by the governor.

Present was also new majority leader Isaac Muinde who said that there was no plan to oust Mutua but there are plans underway to make changes in the county government so as to move Machakos county to the next level.

"As the new majority leader in the county government of Machakos I am determined to make changes in my capacity," said Muinde.

According to DG Benard Kiala, the absence of governor Mutua for more than a month now even without his knowledge as his deputy shows that he has already failed in his responsibilities and is trying to hide from county residents.

He said that he won't just sit and watch as Machakos people suffer in the hands of poor leadership and vowed to take immediate action.
