Kisii county governor James Ongwae has cautioned the all the county executives and officials to stay off corruption as the county will take tough actions to anyone who will be involved in any corrupt deal.

Ongwae instead urged them to concentrate on service delivery as their number one agenda and steer off corruption drama by seriously taking their responsibilities and being accountable.

The governor who was speaking during an internal meeting with county executives and official stated clearly that Kisii county government has never been involved in cartels and corruption allegations and there was a need to maintain the good name.

“We are a county that is focused on the development and we would like to see everyone play their role to ensure that we are far in terms of development,” said Ongwae.

The governor said that his role as a governor is to ensure that service delivery is on point as the voters need to see that they have done for the five years his government has been in place.
