Kisumu county campus students have been challenged to show a higher rate of discipline amongst the locals they leave with.

The Kisumu outgoing city campus chairperson Andrew Oyombe while speaking to this writer at the Maseno city campus on Friday during an election process called upon his fellow comrades to act in a mature manner by showing high standards of discipline to the locals they leave with saying there were several reports of students misbehaving especially when they were at and from social clubs.

Oyombe called upon the student fraternity to make sure that they had self discipline and to respect those they lived with as they were like their parents and should be accorded high standards of respect that they required.

"We want to challenge on campus students to portray high standards of discipline because you never know who you are dealing with, you could be staying with your future employer in the same estate,” Oyombe said.

The outgoing sports representative Ruth Ogilo also noted that most of the locals were complaining with regards to campus student’s misbehaviour while saying that it was important to show that they had acquired knowledge by avoiding doing acts that lacked bearing.
