Kolwa East MCA Osumba Olum has urged ODM supporters in Kisumu East constituency to stay calm as the party headquarters rectifies the anomaly created after the grassroots election.
Mr Olum who is in a tussle with Robert Otuge over the chairmanship of ODM in Kisumu East constituency said the tribunal had given their verdict.
Otuge had been given a certificate but Olum appealed the decision and the ODM tribunal ruled in his favour and was handed over the certificate.
Olum said he is determined to build the party in the constituency and accused his rivals of plotting to use their positions in the party for 2017 general election.
“The complaints tribunal has given out their verdict that I won and plans are underway to give me the certificate,” he said.
Speaking to the press in Kisumu on Saturday, Olum asked the complaints tribunal to take action against Peter Odoyo who was the elections board official.
He said Odoyo has failed to recognise the verdict of the complaints tribunal and should be disciplined by the party.
“It is my humble prayer to the tribunal to ensure their verdict I respected because Odoyo said that the matter has not been conclusively addressed,” he said.
Olum said he is the bona fide ODM chairman in the constituency dismissing his arch rivals who have resorted to social media to discredit his chairmanship.
