He has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons, mostly hate speech reasons but now, Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria's remarks have not been taken as hate speech by the public.
Kuria has called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, to drop the case against former radio presenter, Joshua Sang and the deputy president, William Ruto. The two are alleged to have played a key role in the 2007-2008 post-election violence which saw many people lose their lives while others remained homeless.
Kuria says since the ICC will not be allowed to use recanted evidence against the two following the decision made by the ICC Appeals Chamber, the two have no case to answer. Kuria feels the case is not heading anywhere. He said the closure of the case will save on time since the remaining testimonies are weak and have no evidence. He, however, holds onto his previous thoughts that the case against Ruto and Sang was politically planned.
Kuria believes the decision by the Appeals Chamber was made following the prayers conducted for the deputy president and former KASS FM presenter. Bensouda wanted to use recorded testimonies in the case but will not be allowed to.
