Light Academy Secondary School Mombasa posted good results in the 2015 KCSE exams, with a mean score of 10.86.

with 29 students who registered for the exams.

Out of the 29 students who sat for the exams, four students scored A, 19 scored A-, with five scoring B+ and one student scoring B-.

The students expressed their joy saying God has been on their side.

“I thank God because without him I don't know what I would have gotten in my KCSE results. My teachers have also been of great help," said Omar Abdulmalik who scored an A- with 76 points.

The school's Deputy Principal Mr Maika Mohamed could not hide his excitement saying this is one of their best performances.

"I am proud that the 2015 class performed very well. I must say this is one of our best performances and I believe we have topped the coast region," said Mohamed.

The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results were released on Thursday by the Education CS Fred Matiang'i who said 525,802 students sat for their KCSE exams last year, which is an 8.3 per cent increase from 485,547 students in the previous year.
