“I ask those who have dropped out of school or were not lucky enough to join college to enrol in our local polytechnics; Ikorongo and Nyambogo so that they can do meaningful activities in their lives and stop engaging in misleading activities. You don’t pay school fees to learns crafts such as carpentry or masonry and you should take advantage of that,” said Omindi.

Chief Omindi also asked the youth to drink responsibly especially during the December festive season.

He has vowed to fight the brewing of illicit liquor which he said is making many residents unproductive especially with regards to the men who abscond their family roles because they spend all their money and time drinking.

“Drink responsibly if you cannot abstain but I am also warning those brewing the illicit liquor that I will continue with the operation mwaga pombe because it is making a good number of men to ignore their family and community responsibilities,” said Omindi.
