Wiper Democratic Movement leaders from Masinga Sub-County have condemned Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua for launching the Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement.
The leaders accused the governor of dividing the citizens by forming his own party.
Speaking on Monday in Masinga Town, Masinga Wiper representative, Ndavi Kisusya, termed the move as disrespectful to the Wiper party adding that it will disunite the people.
"Speaking on behalf of the people of Masinga, I would like to say that the launch of the new party is disrespectful to the party that put the governor in his current power,” said Kisusya.
Kisusya also accused Mutua of giving residents false promises of drilling boreholes in Masinga and constructing the road from Kivandini to Masinga.
This comes after Governor Mutua launched his new party dubbed Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement on Saturday at Machakos stadium.
