Kiabonyoru MCA James Isabwengi has appealed to the national government to buy  his ward a police vehicle to ease patrols.

Isabwengi said there has been an upsurge in insecurity in the area and the vehicle will help the police in their patrols especially during the night.

“We need to have a vehicle here at Kiabonyoru ward in a bid to curb crime. I urge the national government to give us one security vehicle,”  the MCA told this writer on Thursday.

The MCA also urged residents in his ward to cooperate with area police to fight insecurity.

Kiabonyoru residents have been living in fear of an unknown gang that has been terrorising people prompting the MCA to ask the government to give them a vehicle to be used by the police.

He also challenged the officers to beef up the security in the area so that people can live without fear.
