Juja legislator Francis Munyua has urged the former pupils and whose results Kenya Certificate of Primary Examination (KCPE) were released yesterday to consider enrollment in the local high schools.

The legislator said the already existing schools should be developed first before engaging in establishing new ones which may take time considering the private sector is competing heavily with the public schools.

“We should work together towards developing our region and this is through producing the best of our own students. Let’s use the available facilities instead of struggling to improve on news ones,” Munyua said.

The MP challenged the people from his region for failure to appreciate the upcoming and competitive secondary schools in the region saying that the schools in the area have very few students as the parents do not believe in them producing good results continuously.

He said people recognize and appreciate schools from other counties while neglecting those from their respective areas.

“Secondary schools have increased in our region over the past few years but it puzzles me that we still are taking our children to other counties for enrollment,” he added.

He urged the county government to start off new development projects for secondary schools in the region including setting up more special schools for children with disabilities.

He was speaking on Thursday from Juja when he met the Equity bank Juja branch Manager Peter Munga in his office.
