Kiambu County commissioner Alex Nkoyo has cautioned youth in the county against being used by selfish people as agents of violence.
Speaking to journalist at Kiambu Town on Wednesday, Nkoyo noted that some youth were falling prey to people who want to use them to cause violence and disrupt peace in the county.
The county commissioner warned that law enforcers will not tolerate hooliganism adding that anyone found to be contravening the law will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
“Youths should desist from associating or working with people who have evil intentions of disrupting peace,” he said.
Nkoyo who spoke in relation to an incident where vehicles of three Members of Parliament (MPs) were pelted with stones in Kiambu Town two weeks ago, said that police will act tough on people who perpetuate hooliganism.
Nkoyo advised youth in the county to use their time well and work with their leaders on development projects.
He asked youth to utilise the development opportunities being given to them by both the national and county governments to better their lives instead of engaging in unlawful activities.
