Nyamira governor John Nyagarama has denied the alleged rift between him and his deputy which has gone viral in both the main stream and social media in the recent weeks.

The Star newspaper recently published a story that highlighted how the relationship between Mr. Nyagarama and his Deputy Amos Nyaribo had gone sour with the two reportedly not seeing eye to eye.

However, on Sunday when visiting Ikonge region, the county boss dismissed the speculations that he has fallen out with his Deputy saying that their relationship was still ‘intact and promising’.

“Sometimes you should not take what the media says seriously. I have read and heard a lot of stories about my Deputy and i but I want to make it clear that our relationship is intact and promising. We have never had differences because we include a lot of consultations before executing projects across the county,” he said.

He accused his political opponents of spreading the rumor to cause panic in the county and eventually make a political gain from it and urged residents to shun politicians who always talked negatively about his administration.

“What I know is that I talk with my deputy every day and we meet because we operate from the same building. I know my opponents are out to spread rumors. Let’s shun such kind of politicians and work as a team,” he added.
