Kiambu County Commissioner Alex Nkoyo has revealed that officers who were on leave have been recalled to duty in an effort to boost security in the region.
Speaking to the press on Monday shortly after a meeting with officers in the area at the Uzina House, the county commissioner said that as the festive season gets underway, it was very necessary for security to also be beefed up as criminal activities rise during this period.
"Extra measures have been put across at all areas in Kiambu County to ensure the people are safe at all times. Criminals will have no space for illegal activities in the county as we aim to curb such cases during this festive season before they occur," he said.
Nkoyo said that for that reason, all officers on leave have been recalled to their respective places in the region, to help boost security all over the county.
"We have recalled all officers who were on leave during this festive season and we have done so to boost security in the region. I am meeting security personnel in different sub-counties this week and the focus is to put measures to maintain security as we head into the festive season," said Nkoyo.
