Education remains the key to a better future for all communities and presents a sure path to earning a living for the young generation, The National Alliance (TNA) party Kiambu coordinator has said.
Gladys Chania emphasised this on Wednesday when she opened a new school block for Dynamic Destiny Academy at Mwihoko in Ruiru Sub-County.
She shared her experiences with parents and encouraged them to be the best friends to their children so that kids can have the courage to share with them their challenges in life as they grow.
“Parents are best placed to have any conversation with their kids because family is the first institution in someone's life. Let us embrace closeness to the children to enhance their success,” Chania said.
She applauded presence of private schools to supplement government efforts to bring quality education nearer to the community.
On social menaces like Drug Abuse, Chania said good role models and early mentorship can deter children from derailing and called on parents to support her in the fight against drug abuse both in the society and in the schools saying that she will not relent in the fight.
She called on the parents to spend time with their children as part of the shaping of their lives away from the drugs.
“Parents should be available in all stages of their children transition. Let them grow seeing us with them always because our presence in their lives always is a motivation,” Chania said.
