Owners of private schools in Kisii county have been challenged to use their resources to sponsor needy and vulnerable children in the society to access education just like their counterparts from well to do families.
Ex-Kisii Mayor Edward Nyamweya has observed that private schools owners were well placed to address education challenges facing needy and vulnerable children in the society and ensure they access quality education.
Speaking on Friday at Mwamba Mixed Primary Academy in the outskirts of Kisii town during the school's pre-unit pupils graduation, Nyamweya who was a chief guest underscored the importance of public private schools owners in the region giving back to their communities through education sponsorship for needy and poor children in the society.
Nyamweya lamented that despite needy and vulnerable children in the society being endowed academically they lacked support in terms of education resources to continue and complete their education successfully.
