Nakuru West legislator Samuel Arama has been challenged to release funds from the CDF kitty meant for sporting activities.
Football stakeholders in the constituency, led by branch chairman Kepha Onyele on Wednesday, blamed Arama for not releasing any penny to support various soccer tournaments.
"I want to challenge our MP Arama to ensure that funds meant for sports activities are released because I have been going to that office to seek the funds but none has been forthcoming," he said.
His sentiments were echoed by veteran football fan Mzee Mazembe who said the MP was not committed to sporting activities.
He claimed that teams are struggling to pay referees yet there are funds set aside in the CDF kitty to oversee the same.
The two were speaking in Mazembe grounds during an inter-estates soccer finals.
