Police in Machakos town have nabbed several litres of illicit brew and 600 grams of bhang in Mjini estate.
Confirming the incident, Machakos Township Joshua Kimeu said two suspected drug traffickers were also arrested during the crackdown.
"I was tipped by residents that a certain man was dealing with drugs and I took police officers with me to his house and found him rolling the bhang,” Kimeu said.
The Monday night operation also led to the arrest of another suspect accused of peddling illicit brew in the estate.
“The man is a notorious dealer as he had chang'aa in his house which he has been selling to area drunkards. We have also arrested a woman who was selling alcohol in her house," Kimeu said.
Kimeu gave a stern warning to all those involved in the illegal business that they will be smoked and charged accordingly
