University students have raised concern over the increased number of roadshows within the school compound.
They claim some of the roadshows start as early as 8 am disrupting their learning activities.
They claim there has been a lot of advertisement currently within the Maseno market which is in close proximity to the classes making it hard for them to effectively conduct their studies.
“Most of these roadshows come with loud music in trucks making it hard for us to concentrate," sais Otieno, .a second-year student.
"They sometimes even station the shows outside the main gate making the passage for us in and out of the school hard," added Otieno
“These advertising agencies should try to keep their distance and if not, reduce the loud music they play," said Mike.
"It is so irritating when you are concentrating on your studies when some of these trucks pass by playing loud music as they try to attract the attention of the locals and students. The school should also regulate this trucks,” added Mike.
Lately, Orange, Festive Bread Company, Ariel and Omo Company have been spotted in Maseno making advertisements of their products.
The students now want intervention from the school administration.
