Cord leader Raila Odinga has been told to stop antagonizing Kenyans and be part of the solution to corruption in the country.

United Republican Party Nyanza coordinator Zuberi Liete condemned the move by Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) supporters in Kisumu to hold demonstrations over intimidation against Raila.

ODM supporters on Monday braved the chilly morning to peacefully demonstrate from Kondele to central business district to castigate the government over what they term as intimidation against Raila.

Carrying placards and walking in the rain, the demonstrators said Raila as an opposition leader has the mandate to put the current on check.

Liete however said the country has been peaceful and actions of Raila might again divide the country.

“What we are witnessing can cause chaos in the country, give up the documents and don’t use people to demonstrate for you,” he said.

He said the Eurobond saga should not be used as a political spring board by the opposition but instead they should use the information at their disposal to help the government fight the graft.

Addressing a press conference on Monday at Kisumu International Airport upon his arrival from Nairobi, Liete said that politicians should desist from using the youth to advance their interest.

He said Raila had sneaked through his lawyers and handed over what was required by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission yet he was equating the commission to a headless chicken.

Liete accused the former prime minister of double speak and blamed him for not giving adequate information to his supporters regarding the documents that were required by the EACC.
