A section of youths in Kibera on Tuesday said they would like the Kenyan education system revised.
The youths say they think the current education system does not allow them to follow their dreams. Yvonne Mbone, who hails from Kamukunji said there are many subjects taught in schools and colleges which will not help you in any way.
''A good example is Literature; it is a compulsory unit in secondary schools. I wonder why someone who wants to be a nurse is busy struggling to read the set books. Honestly, I do not get it when you say I should answer the set books yet I want to be a doctor. Will I be busy story telling with my patients? It is unfair,'' she said.
Another youth, Amos Murage, said it is not good for a person to keep on struggling with too many units yet they could specify on the a few depending on the career they want to take.
