Young people attending a rally in Bahati constituency have expressed their frustrations after rains forced Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua to end his visit prematurely.

A majority youth of who spoke to this writer said they were eagerly waiting to get the plans the governor has for them.

"It was unfortunate that he had to forgo his visit in our area due to the weather conditions," said Anne Ngugi, who owns a salon after benefiting from the Uwezo Fund kitty.

She appreciates the efforts by the Governor saying he has set the ball rolling for young entrepreneurs ready to transform the county.

"Our Governor has allowed youth to be part of his administration which has made a majority of us become self-reliant and independent," she added.

Moses Wairugi feels bad that in his first ever visit to their area; the Governor couldn't to address his people.

"As much as he promised to come back, we feel this was the perfect time now that he was visiting for the first time since we voted him into office." he said.

Some wanted him to address the issue of the area’s Youth Enterprise Fund disbursement.

"We were ready for the statistics, facts and figures because some groups had been allocated the funds more than twice while some have always been sidelined," said a disappointed Meshak Waweru.

Nevertheless, Mbugua promised to make time for another visit next month, but tasked his organising committee to allocate a convenient day that will not affect his schedule.
