A section of residents have expressed their displeasure with the Governor Kinuthia Mbugua for reshuffling the County Executive Committee (CEC).
The residents have claimed that Kinuthia move was is aimed at shielding members of his CEC who are implicated in corruption deals.
Among the people moved is Finance and Economic Planning CeC Francis Mathea who has been accused by MCAs of "poor leadership" and is facing graft charges.
“Why is he shielding him? If he could not be trusted there in finance why are we giving him the education docket,” said Godwin Macharia
Residents we talked to said that the governor decision to retained the Mathea in his CEC was unwelcome.
"It’s unrealistic that the governor can go to such great extend to cover people who are implicated in graft," said Esther Njeri
They called on the EACC to come and investigate the county government for corruption.
“A lot of cash is disappearing and it’s up to the national government to come and investigate this,” claimed David Muchemi
In a press release on Thursay morning, Professor Catherine Kitetu who was the CEC in Education, Culture, Youth and Sports as moved to Public Service Management.
CEC for Public Service Management Ann Njenga moves to Trade, Industrialization, Tourism and Wildlife Management. She will also double up as the acting CEC in the Finance and Economic Planning docket.
"This is in the quest of delivering enhanced services to the people, in line with the agreement and pledge that he had made with the residents of Nakuru county," the press release read in part.
