Kisumu Market/Milimani MCA Edwin Anayo has dismissed claims that he is eyeing the Kisumu Central constituency seat in the 2017 elections.
Speaking to Hivisasa on Tuesday, Anayo said he had no ambitions of running for a parliamentary post and will instead defend his current seat in the 2017 general election.
The former minority leader said he supported Abdiqadir Omar in the last general election and would do the same in 2017 if he seeks re-election.
Omar ditched ODM for CORD Co-Principal Moses Wetangula's Ford Kenya after the contested 2012 party nominations.
"My loyalty has not changed and I will still support Omar in the next general election," said Anayo.
He added: "I will certainly let the public know when am ready to vie for a parliamentary post."
